Visit by Senior Officials from Riyadh Municipality to Singapore
Chairman of Transfingo Aviation Solutions shares insights on the Singapore landscape
Nineteen senior officials from the Riyadh Municipality visited Singapore from 4th to 9th September to benchmark best practices of sustainable urban planning and city management. The visit aimed to identify potential areas of collaboration by exploring best practices in smart cities, sustainable urban planning, infrastructural management and management of land, assets and historical sites.
Organised by DAWA and facilitated by the Singapore Cooperation Enterprise and the Singapore Embassy in Riyadh, the visits to government agencies included the Urban Redevelopment Authority, the Centre for Liveable Cities, the National Parks Board, the National Environment Agency, the Singapore Food Agency, the Public Utilities Board and the Waste Management & Recycling Association of Singapore.
The delegation also visited Transfingo Aviation Solutions, food waste digester system called Gomixer at the Marina Bay Financial Centre to understand how the system converts food waste to liquid effluent. Gomixer is an odourless, single point food waste disposal system that circumvents the need for further treatment of by-products thereby reducing its end-to-end carbon footprint.
